Pine Junction in Gary, Indiana is our #6 hot spot, and what a hot day of railfanning we had, with 75 trains in just over 12 hours, has to be our best day yet! CSX, NS and the EJ&E all come together at Pine, plus we saw power from Conrail, UP, SP, CNW, SOO, CP, BN, BNSF, SF, South Shore and Amtrak, and the "J" has orange, green and ex DM&IR maroon.

Meets, overtakings and side by sides, 4 trains at once, this really is a colorful, busy and exciting place.
